Financial Advisor to Golfsmith International on Sale to Golf Town

Founded in 1967, Golfsmith International, based in Austin, Texas, is an 85-store golf specialty multi-channel retailer throughout the United States. Golfsmith is a small-cap public company trading on Nasdaq. Its website, Golfsmith.com, is the second-largest golf e-commerce retailer, representing approximately 20% of the company’s sales. Each store and website merchandises a wide selection of premium golf clubs, shoes, apparel, gadgets and gear from all the major brands as well as growing private label offerings. Golfsmith also offers custom club fitting, lessons and other services for golfers.

Golf Town was the largest golf retailer in Canada, and after the transaction, both U.S. and Canadian stores operated as Golfsmith International, becoming the largest golf specialty retailer in the world.
