Jon joined Financo in 2019, bringing nearly a decade of consumer and retail investment banking experience. He focuses on direct-to-consumer and e-commerce businesses, within the Home Goods, Apparel and Beauty sectors, among others.
Prior to joining Financo, Jon was with Lazard Middle Market and Moelis & Company. Jon received a BA in American Studies from Yale University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
What have you learned from a client that has had a lasting impact?
Koorosh Yaraghi, the Founder of RugsUSA, consistently challenges the status quo. Working together on a sell-side engagement, I experienced how his unique traits helped him launch a truly innovative platform, and continually keep that platform ahead of the curve. Consistently pushing the envelope differentiated RugsUSA – I try to add a piece of that approach to my daily work.
What’s the best piece of advice you have ever received?
I am an avid sports fan (go Dodgers and UCLA!) and participant (tennis, golf, basketball). Many of my favorite adages come from the great UCLA coach John Wooden, and this is my favorite of the bunch:
“Whatever you do in life, surround yourself with smart people who’ll argue with you.”

The Financo team is hyper-focused and incredibly passionate. The fact that everyone is living, eating and sleeping consumer drives a unique culture where we all learn from one another and fuels a common passion for our work.
Where can we find you when you’re outside the office?
Before I catch the morning train, my 2-year old son and I stroll the streets of our neighborhood, pushing a red car.
