Scott has served as Financo’s CFO since 1995. In addition to leading the firm’s overall financial operations, he is also responsible for tax compliance, regulatory compliance oversight, financial reporting and budgetary functions. Scott also serves as the Financial Operations Officer of Financo Securities, LLC, Financo’s U.S. broker-dealer and as Director of Financo Ltd, Financo’s UK broker-dealer.
Prior to joining Financo, Scott gained extensive experience in the real estate sector at The Solomon Organization and United Capital Corp. Early in his career, Scott worked in public accounting, where he gained experience in audit and tax across many different industries. Scott received a BS in Business Administration from Bryant University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds FINRA Series 28 and Series 99 licenses.
What was your first job, and how has it influenced you today?
Working at Kravet Fabrics, cutting fabric swatch samples for interior designers. That job was my first experience working in a diverse and team-oriented environment.
What is one thing you wish people knew about you?
I have a real passion for a wide range of music. Back in college, I was a DJ and the Director of the school’s radio station.
What’s the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Make the day, don’t let the day make you.
Where can we find you when you’re outside the office?
Walking or hiking through parks, our neighborhood, or through New York City with family or friends. Just a great way to pass the time and get some exercise.
